Position Overview

We are seeking to fill a newly created position of an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to lead projects from initial pricing through final completion. This dual-role position is critical to our success, combining precise estimating with hands-on project management. You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication while ensuring every project meets our high standards for quality and design.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, enjoys both pre-construction planning on-site management, and takes pride in delivering exceptional residential interiors. The majority of our job sites are within 80 miles of North Platte and will note require overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Pre-Construction

• Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for residential remodels
• Review plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop comprehensive scopes of work
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids; create project budgets
• Assist with proposal preparation, contracts, and client presentations

Project Management

• Lead multiple remodeling projects from start to finish
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cash flow tracking
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers efficiently
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards
• Address field issues, changes, and unforeseen conditions promptly

Client & Team Communication

• Serve as primary client contact during construction
• Communicate project updates, schedule changes, and budget impacts clearly
• Manage change orders and approvals
• Collaborate closely with designers and internal team members

Quality & Close-Out

• Ensure all work aligns with design intent and company standards
• Conduct punch-list walk throughs and oversee project close-outs
• Manage final billing, documentation, and warranty procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years in residential construction, remodeling, or related field
• Proven experience in estimating and project management for interior renovations
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
• Experience with high-end or custom residential projects preferred
• Proficient with estimating software, project management tools, and spreadsheets
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
